The exhibition that we all were waiting for... Archaeologists and conservation experts have succeeded in re-assembling 5.178 fragments of smashed sculpture to recreate a unique army of life-size stone warriors which were originally destroyed by enemy action in the middle of the first millennium BC. It’s the only group of sculpted life-sized warriors ever found in Europe, 500 years older than China’s famous Terracotta Army.

After an eight year conservation and reconstruction program, archers, shield-holding ‘boxers’ and swordsmen are now displayed at the Cagliari and Cabras museums.
