PROGRAM

We'll discover the Green Coast, 47 kilometers on the South West coast of Sardinia, so called due to its very prosperous maquis which runs down from the mountains crossing valleys towards the sea. When you are there you would be involved in an original, no time and even no space, new world characterized by dunes, real deserts of sand which sheer towards the sea, creating unique, silent and huge beaches, sandstone walls, fascinating bays... The economy of this territory was based on the mining activities till the last mid century. After the closure of the mining production activities and human activities abandonment, nature took its revenge amazingly flourishing and offering a unique ecosystem. These areas are now considered as real monuments, forming part of Geomineral Historic and Environment Park of Sardinia, acknowledged by the UNESCO in 1997.
